Happy Camper

My niece is at camp for the next few weeks. I really love this stamp set (the cat's pajamas: Happy Camper) So I made her a few quick cards. My kids wrote her letters and I am going to send these to her along with the letters. I also used Karen Foster Campground paper, Papertrey ink Bitty Star Basics paper and Papertrey ink Summer Camp set for the stars. Enjoy!

How I store my Dies

I Love this stuff!!!!!

It is a great way to store metal dies for die cutting machines. Most of my dies are stored in these Quickuts Magnetic books:

I love these because the dies do not fall out and I store then in a decorative basket. I have labeled them 1-15 on the outside. I have taken pictures of each one open. Then I have put each picture in a small journal so I can just open the notebook and look for the die I need. Then I know which magnetic book to look in for that die.

Now...back to the magnetic vent covers (found at home depot for about 4$ a pack, you get three vent covers in each pack)..... I love these because since I have a few stamp set/ die combos....I dislike getting the stamps then going to get the dies that I need. So I have taken my stamps and put them in these SIZZIX plastic envelopes:

Envelope and a piece of magnetic vent cover

The real nice thing about this situation is these taylored expressions stamps and dies come with a clear plastic to line up the stamps so everything really is right there in a secured package.

This is my favorite storage for my papertrey ink die and stamps. If the stamps do not have dies that match, I use the CD cases. But if there are dies, I like the plastic envelope idea. It keeps all of the stamps and dies right at your finger tips (the black thing in the envelope is a piece of the magnetic vent covers)

I hope this helps some of you with your craft space organization!!!!!!! It will certainly help cut down on the hunt and find part!

Celebrating You!

Good Morning! I have two cards to share with you today. My girlfriend's twins had their birthday on July 4th. I am going to see them today so I needed to make their cards last night. I really had a lot of fun making these birthday cards. I had a chance to use more of the supplies that were sitting on my desk still in the wrapper. I hope that you like them! I really like the way they turned out.

I used Simple stories paper "Happy Day" line, papertrey ink inside out birthays, Stampin up rough type, taylored expressions fly your flag 1 die.

This card uses papertrey ink Up, Up and away sentiments, My minds eye paper, mft kite and cloud dies.

Just a few More to share....

I made this card using Tiddly Ink's digi stamp. I used Die-namics for the Die cut and spellbinders for the oval. I used Basic Grey paper and the twine is from the twinery.

This is a birthday card I made for my niece.

This card is for one of my other nieces. I used Close to my heart stamps and my cricut for the card and the waves.

I hope that you like what I have shared. I am going to post some of my scrapbook pages soon on another blog that I have. I just have to figure out how to take a picture of the pages! I have been real busy, just bad at posting!!!!!!! Enjoy!

Still Catching UP!

Here are a few more of the cards that I have made over the past 4 months...

This card was made with Verve Stamps and My mind's Eye paper for a friend's Birthday.

You cannot see the music background in this card because the light is too bright. But I used Amuse Stamps and Close to my heart paper. I love te way this looks in person. the flowers have the diamond glitter on it for a sparkling effect.

This card uses stamps from Stampin up. I think the set was called It's Academic. I am not sure of the name of the paper. This was a bus driver thank you card.

This was my easter card. I love this little bunny. He is from the cat's pajamas. This picture does not do my card justice!!!!!!!! (mainly the bunny. He is so cute!)

This is my BIL's birthday card. I embossed the black with Asian Poetry from Stampin up and cut the dragon out with my Cricut. Used some bling for his eye. Paper is from Dove of the East

I'm Baaaaack!!!!!

I have so many cards to add today! I have not posted in a while so I have a lot of catching up to do!!!

Here are a few cards that I have done over the past few months:
I was away from my children for a couple of weeks, so I had made this to mail to them. Everyone loves to get mail (when it is not a bill!) I used Close to my heart stamps and paper.

This card I made for my husband while I was away. I used my Close to my Heart Paper and AMuse stamps. I stamped the usa on the paper and cut it out (inside the line) so you wouldn't see the ink. The heart is covered with glassy glaze to make it shine.

I had a lot of fun with this one. I embossed Cherry Cobbler with clear embossing powder then cut it out with a butterfly die cut. I love the effect it has when you add the embossed image on the die cut! I made this for my SIL. Got the idea from a Stampin up catalog.

This card is really a lot better in person. I really need to take a photography class! I made this for a birthday card. I die cut the butterflies in the brown paper so the lighter paper with the script would show through. I really like this effect! This paper is all My mind's Eye.

I have more so check back tomorrow! As always, I love comments and thank you for looking at my blog!

Quick Birthday & Thank You card

I had to make a Birthday Card for my SIL and a set of Thank you cards. I needed to get the birthday card in the mail this morning. These cards took me 30 minutes to make in total. I really like the way they turned out. I got the idea from "The Best of Card Creations" by Paper Crafts. (page 98 if you have the book)

My die cuts were from Quickutz (now, lifestyle crafts), My stamps are from Papertrey ink (Tonight is the new product reveal...YEAY!!), my embossing folders are from sizzix and cuttle bug. Enjoy!!!!

****Just a tip- stamp your image before embossing the paper so you have a crisp image.****

This is my card kit. I made it so that anytime I need a quick card, I just have to glue the butterfly to the appropriate saying background. When I have used up the butterflies, I will do the same idea with felt flowers to use up the card backgrounds.

Thank you for looking!

Valentine for My Husband

I found the idea for this card on page 14 in the paper crafts January/February 2012 magazine. It was a project created by stampin up to showcase their flower layering punch. Since the card is for my husband, I tried to stay away from flowers and foof. But I did "borrow" the basic color scheme and sketch of the card.

I hope that you like my Card:

The inside reads: My heart is forever at your service. -William Shakespeare

Kid's Valentine Treats

As I said in my last post, I have been organizing my craft space. I have decided that I am not allowed to purchase any CS or DSP for at least 6 months....(really I should never purchase any, ever again.....but I know I will break at some point) So I set off to make easy valentines for my children to take to school using what I already had. Really...it wasn't hard to find supplies. My favorite holiday is Valentine's Day so I have a lot of paper.

I had a large amount of Valentine cards from Close to my Heart. They were the demo cards for a valentine kit that they sold MANY years ago. I had considered throwing them out many times in the past, but I finally decided that I would use them for the kids valentines for this year. I cut each card into 4 strips and the rest of the valentine was made with scraps that I had in my scrap paper drawer. I actually felt pretty good about using up supplies rather than buying new to make them. Having my supplies organized definitely helped with making them.

So...For the valentines, I used the Close to My Heart cards, red scrap cardstock , scrap white cardstock, 1/2" paper punch from Stampin up for the holes for the pencils,  The dog was a stamp from Technique Tuesday, Happy Valentine's day was from AMUSE studio, On the back is a happy valentine's day and to/from stamp that were both from PTI, Copics, and Heart stickers from AC Moore. It was a very easy card to make. I had to make 70 of them...so I needed something easy. I hope you like them!
Here they are:

Valentine's for our Parents

I am really bad. I have a habit of making the same card for my parents and my mother in law. Even Birthday and Mother's day cards. It just makes things easier to keep up with everything. Sooooo...This is the Valentine Card that I made for my Parents and my MIL. (Actually this is my card, I like to keep a sample, and the other two are sealed and ready to send!)

I used SU and PTI ink, Papertrey Ink Stamps, Stampin up Ribbon and Buttons, and Close to my Heart DSP. I hope that you like it.

My Birthday Girl

I haven't posted in a long time!!!!! YIKES! I have been very busy organizing my craft area. One of my friends has gotten me addicted to actually organizing my stuff! YEAY! So I have challenged myself to 52 weeks of organizing my home. I have been stamping and scrapbooking for over 11 years and the amount of supplies that I have would take a fairly good amount of time to go through and organize. That would get old real quick and I would probably not get it done. So, to stay on a roll, I have decided to do 1/2 week dedicated to my craft room and the other 1/2 to a different area of my home. The scraprack website has a great guide on where to start organizing.

After going through all of my paper, as I was organizing it, I realized that I should really NEVER be allowed to purchase paper ever, ever again. Fortunately I have only found a handful of paper I really do not like, so I have a lot of work ahead of me to use up the rest! I have been working very hard on cards in between organizing. I will be posting my cards over the next few days.

This is the card I made my daughter for her 10th Birthday. I really love Stamping Bella stamps. I hope that you like this card. I had a lot of fun making it.
