My Mother's Birthday

I am so bad at getting cards done on time. My family jokes with me all of the time and they say that if it is late, save it for next year....I can't do that! Knowing me.....I would forget where I put it! Anyway, 25 days late.....Here is my mother's birthday card. She really is the most bestest mother in the whole world!!!! I totally hijacked the words inside and out from a hallmark card. They were just very fitting for all that she has done and keeps on doing.

So about the card...I used the Splitcoast Stampers challenge sc317 for my starting point. I just got this really pretty paper from CTMH called Bliss. I LOVE blue and brown together. They are both my favorite colors (blue really, but I wear a lot of brown). So there is absolutely no stamping on this card. I printed everything out and put together the flower with a natural wood button from CTMH. The three little baubles are from Stamping Bella (LOVE THAT COMPANY!) You can't tell in the picture but I did stitch around the 2x2 square under the flower and I popped up the panel that the flower is on. Thank you for looking! Hope you like it.

Cards from the past...Well, not that long ago...

I just wanted to post a few of my cards that I have made and have not had a chance to post yet. Many of these are in my splitcoast gallery. A couple of these go back as far as May of 2010.
I made this card for my Neice in May.

I made this card with a Stampin bella stamp and Basic Grey DP.

This robot is from Stampin Bella and the DP is cosmo cricket.

This was a birthday card that I have made for a few boys for their birthday. I used Technique Tuesday stamps and cosmo cricket DP.

These cards were made for my two neices. I used Memory Box and Basic Grey DP and Stampin' Up! stamps.

This card was for my husband's birthday. I used My Mind's Eye for DP and Stampin' Up! stamps.

I made these cards for my three kids. I put them in their bookbag with a candy kiss for a little surprise. They tell me that they like when they get my cards, I think they just like to get the candy kisses!

My Daughter's Shirt

My daughter turned 9 today. I cannot believe she is 9! To make her birthday fun, we are hiding her presents and each one has a clue on it to find the next. I made her card today and this is what I came up with. I was inspired by one of her favorite shirts from Justice. I just wish I could get pictures that show the colors better!

To create my daughter's card, I used stamps from Technique Tuesday, CTMH, and Stampin' Up! I used Dutch blue ink from CTMH, Memento Black, London Fog, and Ladybug Red (which you cannot see on the guitar). I colored in the peace signs with Copic markers. I added my favorite glitter to the guitar (which is funny for me to say because I really despise glitter, especially when it gets in my eye because I am careless.) I also lightly painted glassy glaze on the top of the guitar to give it shine, but you cannot see that in the picture. I sanded my Sizzix embossed cranberry CTMH cs. And finally, the guitar and "Happy Birthday" sentiment hang freely from the white sassy strands. There is some sponging around the edges. I based the card off of the SC314 sketch from splitcoast stampers. I tried to make this match her shirt the best I could.
