Picnic Pals with Brutus Monroe!

Happy Friday! I have a super cute card for you today featuring Brutus Monroe! This month's subscription box is here and it is all about picnics! "Picnic Pals" comes with the stamp set and matching dies, cardstock, sequins, ribbon, preprinted panels, sentiment strips and a super cute pin!

To make my card, I started by ink blending the background with a layering stencil I already had from Brutus Monroe called "Zig Heart". To make the grass, I blended Mowed Lawn distress oxide through one of the dot zig zags and moved the stencil up to do the next line. Each time, I masked off the zig zags that I already blended.

To make the sky, I did the same thing using one of the heart zig zags from the Zig Heart stencil and Salvaged Patina distress ink. Then, I trimmed the grass in two pieces so I could have a staggered look.

I glued the grass to the sky panel and trimmed it down to 4" x 5 1/4". Then I stamped and die cut the images from the picnic pals stamp set. I colored them in with my Copic Markers and adhered them to my card panel. I added a few small flowers from the set that I turned into butterflies. To finish the card off, I stamped the sentiment on the card panel and then adhered the panel to a piece of brown cardstock from the subscription box. I think this set is just so super cute!!!
