As I said in my last post, I have been organizing my craft space. I have decided that I am not allowed to purchase any CS or DSP for at least 6 months....(really I should never purchase any, ever again.....but I know I will break at some point) So I set off to make easy valentines for my children to take to school using what I already had. Really...it wasn't hard to find supplies. My favorite holiday is Valentine's Day so I have a lot of paper.
I had a large amount of Valentine cards from Close to my Heart. They were the demo cards for a valentine kit that they sold MANY years ago. I had considered throwing them out many times in the past, but I finally decided that I would use them for the kids valentines for this year. I cut each card into 4 strips and the rest of the valentine was made with scraps that I had in my scrap paper drawer. I actually felt pretty good about using up supplies rather than buying new to make them. Having my supplies organized definitely helped with making them.
So...For the valentines, I used the Close to My Heart cards, red scrap cardstock , scrap white cardstock, 1/2" paper punch from Stampin up for the holes for the pencils, The dog was a stamp from Technique Tuesday, Happy Valentine's day was from AMUSE studio, On the back is a happy valentine's day and to/from stamp that were both from PTI, Copics, and Heart stickers from AC Moore. It was a very easy card to make. I had to make 70 of them...so I needed something easy. I hope you like them!
