Rin Give thanks

I just found another company called Sparkle Creations that has really cute stamps. I love the Rin line. My SIL loves all Asian themed stuff so I picked up a few of these stamps to make her some cards. This is a card I made for my friend. I used Autumn Rin, Buttons from A Muse, Paper from Basic Grey, and copics to color and a gold glitter pen to go over the ribbons  her hair and her Kimono. I hope you like it!

OUCH!

OK, So...I broke my ankle. OUCH!!!
The doctor told me that I had to keep my leg up and not to do much for the first two weeks. My X-ray needed to look better after two weeks or he was going to strongly suggest surgery. Double OUCH!

Fortunately...it was my LEFT leg. So, I can still drive. With kids in a bunch of activities each day, it would have been a MAJOR tragedy if I broke my right leg. But.....since it was my left, It was more like a strike of good fortune. How, might you ask, could breaking your leg be a good thing???? Well, My darling husband set up a table in front of the couch for me to camp out at for the first two weeks. SO I took my lemons and made lemonade!!!! I mean, Took my craft supplies and made cards!

I managed to squeeze out 55 cards in the two weeks. I actually went into my stash and used a lot of stamps that I have not even inked yet! Of course a few were some that I had just bought also... :-)

This is a picture of most of my cards:

Here are some close ups:

I just found these stamps from Sister Stamps.......I love the girl holding the paper crane!

This was my husband's anniversary card. This saying is from Henry H. (I wonder what the "H" stands for)
The stamp is from There She Goes and the paper is from Close to my heart.

I really like the new PTI snowflake dies!!!!!

I made this card a while ago, but I made more of them while I was broken. This image is from whipper snapper designs. I have had this stamp in my stash for a LONG time. But I have always loved the bear and penguin stamps they have.

This was a flip card I made for my daughter's Friend

This angel is from Taylored expressions. I wanted to make a few Simple cards for the CCD teachers and the people at my church. I got the idea from someone on Splitcoast stampers, but I have to find the card so I can give them credit.

I hope that you like my cards! I had a lot of fun making them. It definitely kept me busy while I have been immobile!

Buds

I have been working on thank you cards that do not have much bulk to cut down on postage. I really love MoManning. Her illustrations are adorable. This Digi Stamp is called Buds (girl), because there is a Buds (boy). If you have not checked out her Digital Stamps, you should! My paper is Making Memories and Stampin up. "Thank You" is from PTI. I hope that you like my cards! Thank you for looking.

Love this fairy!

I was looking at some cards today on splitcoast and found this card: AMAZING CARD  It is Georgeous. I wish I could color like Suzanne's masterpiece. After I drooled over this card for 20 minutes, I found out it was the birthday of one of my friends yesterday. SO I grabbed my prisma pencils and gamsol and gave it a whirl. This is what I came up wih. I hope my girlfriend enjoys it!

I used my clear spica pen to add some sparkle and I used basic grey for my DP. Thanks for looking!

Itty Bitty Flower Challenge F4A76

I just got this spellbinders set that I am dying to use for halloween, but I decided to try it out for this Splitcoast challenge. The challenge was to use any itty bitty flowers that you have...DP, Stamps, prima's....whatever you had. I used y flower ribbon from A Muse. I really like it a lot. It is so easy to cut appart and add to a stamped image. I use CTMH Sonoma DP and my stamps are from A Muse and Papertrey ink. I hope that you like it! My pictures never show the colors the way they are suppose to.

You're a Fun-Gi

Hello! I did a little arts and crafts today with the kids to come up with a father's day card for them to make. I had gotten this stamp set from UNITY and I love it. Who would think you would be making a father's day card with a mushroom? (Or three???) The kids used the shaving cream technique to color their mushroom. They each picked out their ink colors (that is why they are all a little off on matching) We cut out the clouds with the A Muse cloud die, used A Muse cloud paper and the grass mounds were done with A Muse paper. We embossed the brown with a woodgrain plate from papertrey ink and the sun was from A Muse. lots and lots of pop dots too......

Anyway, this is the card we have come up with....Hope you like it!

School is OUT!

Today is the last day of school for my kids. They (WE) are so excited! We have lots of plans for this summer and I love the fact that I can sleep until 7:30-8 am  finally! I have just a few cards to share that I have been working on.

This card is a thank you card for my daughter's Softball coaches. I used a Stamp from Hanna Stamps for the main image.

This next card is the thank you card for our busdriver. I used an old CTMH stamp for the bus.

The next one that I have to share is a welcome baby card. The main image that I used for this one is from Mo Manning. I love her digi stamps.

My last card is a brithday card that I made for my nephew. I really like the humor in this Stampin up set. The inside says, "The chances of getting any money out of it are about one in a million."

Dragons of Life...Vintage A Muse

I made this birthday card for my Brother in Law.I love the verse on the card! I totally stole the fire idea from .... This Awesome card.......

I did it using the grass die from A Muse. The stamp set that I used for this card was the Vintage A Muse set. colored with copics and I sponged with ink. I really wish I could get the true colors of the card in the picture. It doesn't do the card justice..... Hope you like it!

Harry Potter Birthday Card

This is a digi image of Harry Potter from Karber stamps. I love this image. I got it a while ago and had a birthday this weekend I needed Harry Potter for. I was so excited to finally use it! The paper is from Making Memories wedding and black tie. The stamp that I used for the stars by the wand is from A Muse Glamour Girl. I added bling to the stars. I got the color scheme for the Harry Potter digi from this post: http://simpleandsassycreations.blogspot.com/2011/01/karber-weekly-challenge-22-dots-stripes.html

Hope you like it!

In case you want to know what colors I used to color him in....

Which looks better?

I found some pretty material yesterday and knew I wanted to use my spellbinders Rose Creations die with it to make a flower for a card. So this was my experiment... I had fun and really like how easy it is to make a flower, but I am not sure how I feel about the card. I feel like something is missing. So which do you like? with the "thank you" sentiment or without?

I feel something is missing from this card...

I think that I like it better with the sentiment.

Scrapbook Expo

I went to the Scrapbook Expo in Somerset yesterday with a few friends and It was a lot of fun. I have never been to one before, so I didn't know what I was going to find there. I have to say that I behaved very well...I stayed away from any DP and Cardstock. I was never really into stickers, so they didn't entice me. (I did get a few that were cheap for my kids, but other than that.....Nada. ) I got a few Nesties that I had wanted. They were WELL worth the price and the other thing I splurged on were Technique Tuesday stamps. I have always like them and they had some real cute new designs. I have dedicated this weekend to make TT cards with my new stamps. Then on Monday, I will be back to my wonderful A Muse stamps. Anyway....Here is my first card from Technique Tuesday. The two girls, on the swing and pushing her, remind me of my girls.

You cannot see it in the picture, but I did spray the white and black image with the stardust finishing spray from Amuse and it has a shimmery effect.(I really love that stuff) and I used a spica pen on "GOOD" to give it the same kind of shimmer. The ribbon is A Muse, Paper is from K&Co. and A Muse.

Keep swimmin'......

I wanted to try out the bargello technique from Splitcoast stampers (that would be the staggered pieces of paper behind the dolphins). It was not hard and I really like how it turned out. I glittered the dolphins and  also used the recessed window technique for the A Muse challenge. The stamp set that I used was Keep Swimmin' and All of the paper and supplies are from A muse. The only thing that isn't is the wonky rectangle nestabilities die to cut out the windows. I need to change the picture because this one doesn't show the true colors of the cardstock. Hope you like it!

It's a JUNGLE out there...

I wanted to do the Splitcoast Stampers challenge SC333 and I had the mighty jungle set from A Muse in mind. I had a lot of fun coloring the monkeys in using Copics E44, E31, YG03, YG23 AND W2. I topped it off with french roast twine. Thanks for looking!

Communion Thank You cards

First, I want to say a BIG thank you to everyone that leaves comments on my blog. I really appreciate the feedback. It is so fun to see what people think about my cards. So... THANK YOU!!!!!

I finally had a chance to make my daughter's communion thank you cards. I needed something that could be done simply because we NEED to get them out in the mail. Fortunately, the cut out center from her invitations were perfect to use for the center of these cards. They were already cut out and ready to use. I cut out the center for the card so the cross could hang freely. Then I stamped the verse inside so you can see it through the window. Thank you for looking!

Below...I decided to add an extra loop in the bow and a pearl in the flower. I really love the A Muse Bow Maker. All of my bows are exactly the same size and so quick to make!!!! This is the video on how to use it:

EASY PEASY.....LOVE IT!!!!

Note for you...CASED!!

I really loved this card made by Julie From A Muse Studio.....  Julie's Hello Card

I loved it so much I used it to create my notepad covers. They are 5 1/2 x 3 1/2 in size and I really like how they turned out. I just wish the pads were white instead of yellow. Grrrrr. Anyway, Hope you like them! Thank you for the inspiration Julie!

I will add the list of supplies later today.... I am too tired!

You look Fabulous

This card was made for two challenges. It fits in the splitcoast stampers sc332 challenge and A Muse is having a recessed window challenge. I had a lot of fun using the A Muse window sheets in my compact. I also had the chance to try out the A Muse Bow maker. I used GLAMOUR GIRL stamp set, blush and black paper with black gingham DP. Hope that you like it!

This is just a picture to show the recessed window! Thanks for looking!!! AND....this is the link on how to use the bow maker:

There is No One Like YOU!

I am, by default, programed to go to blues and browns when stamping. I wish I could take a better picture of this card. I used the A Muse stardust finishing spray on it and is looks so pretty on the flower and the bottom of the card where I stamped Marvelous Marigolds with sky and fern ink. I also used B23 phthalo blue copic with the colorless blender to add dots to the flower. I ended it with a pearl in the center of the flower. Hope you like!

This picture is just to show the shmmer from the A Muse shimmer finishing spray.

Wish you were here....Stained Mosaic Technique

I still wish I were there!!!! I loved my family trip to the Bahamas. AND I am so ready for the summer and the beach....I am always ready for the beach. Anyway, I made this card using my A*Muse stamp sets: Sea Shells, Mesh background, and Life's a breeze. I used Memento Rich cocoa, A*muse Latte, and A*Muse french roast ink. Other supplies used were french roast twine, Sky CS, sponge daubers and BG10, E31, W2 Copic markers. I used a stained mosaic technique that I got from splitcoast stampers here:
Stained Mosaic Technique

YIKES! ***I almost forgot...you NEED versamark and clear embossing powder!!!!!!****Otherwise, you cannot do this technique....

I hope that you like this card. I had so much fun making it and have wanted to try this technique with sea shells. I have done it with flowers....but really wanted to try it with a shell set. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. If you like what you see, you can get all of the products from my website. Thank you for looking!

Marvelous Marigolds

Hello Everyone! I really like this set from A Muse. I see so many possibilities with it. It is called Marvelous marigold and I colored it in with Copic color RV09 (Fuchsia). Then I cut it out and popped it up. I stamped the center of the flower, colored it, cut it out and popped that too. I stamped the leaf on kraft cardstock with Fern ink. Had to add the bling to the center of the flower! I you have any questions about the products, let me know!

Sheltering Tree

This card is made using all A Muse products. I am going to list the items later tonight. I had a lot of fun making this card. I used the colorless blender from copic to remove color from the kites and the tree. I hope that you like it!

B & B My FAVORITE!

Blue & Brown IS my FAVORITE color combo. I LOVE them together. Sometimes even more than cheese and my favorite bottle of red wine. This is another card that I made using my A Muse kit items. I LOVE the way it came out. My rockin' camera skills do not do this card justice.

These are ALL A Muse products...I used the Harlequin Background stamp and inked it up with LATTE ink. Then I sponged FRENCH ROAST ink and SHELL ink on the stamp. I love the background that it made. Then I stamped the Beautiful Botanicals 2 stamp in FERN ink. The flower from the Cleaver girls stamp set was inked up in SKY ink, cut out and 3 were popped up on dots. Finally the Happy Birthday stamp is from the Celebrate in Style set. I used French Roast and Sky card stock.

If you have any questions, just ask!

Communion Invitations

I had to make two different invites for my daughter's communion because I didn't have enough of the cardstock that I used on the first one.

They are both tri-fold cards. The stamps that I used were from Papertrey Ink, Stampin' Up!, and Our Daily Bread designs. I really like the ODB designs communion set. I use the Matthew 26 verse for all of my communion cards. I also used the spellbinders cross dies.

I have really fallen in love with my Grand Calibur. I love that I can have cards of any height and can cut out the center. I also have found that I can use my cuttle bug B plate for embossing with cuttle bug folders (so you can see what you are doing) and the C plate for the spellbinders dies. It is big to see the placement of the die. The plates that come with the grand calibur are NOT see through. So I use the base plate that came with it and the cuttle bug plate for the top. I am sure this will void the warranty, so please use at your own risk if you choose to do this. Also...you obviously cannot do this with the bigger Grand Dies.....the cuttlebug plate wouldn't be big enough.

So...Here are my cards, hope you like them!

Peeking Bird with A*Muse

I have made a few cards with my new products and I am having a lot of fun. Unfortunately I cannot photograph anything to save my life. You really cannot see it, but I sponged A Muse Sky ink on the background for color and added shimmer pebbles chalk to give it a shine.
I used only the products that came in the kit. This is the list of supplies:
A Muse Ink:
Ocean
Grass
Papaya
Current
and I sponged Sky on the white to look like the "Sky"!

The stamps that come in the kit are a sample of a few sets. I LOVE the stamps!!!! They are rubber but cling on clear blocks. but the best part is...They already hae the image on the cling side so you open the box, and you start using them! No Trimming, No attaching...NOthing! Just Ink and use.

The stamps that I used are from the following sets:
Beautiful Botanicals 2
Life is a song
The perfect Blend (I used the bean stamp for the red buds on the tree)
Hand Scripted
and Graphic Sunflower

I used Pebbles Ink. Shimmer chalks to give the leaves, sun and sky some shimmer. Then used the spicca clear marker to glitter the buds (beans)

I also used the stitched grosgrain ribbin in Sky.

Finally, I used a gem for the door knob on the bird house. I got the idea of cutting open the door on the house from another A Muse consultant, Lisa Wakabayashi.
I hope you like my card.
