Pineapple Crush Shaker

I made this pineapple shaker card for my daughter's friend. Pineapples are the big rage and my daughters and their friends are all wrapped up in it right now. I had so much fun with this card. This is the Paper Smooches Pineapple Crush Stamp set. The pineapples and rabbit were colored with Tim Holtz distressed ink and a watercolor brush. I the used MFT Die-namics Stitched Rectangle Scallop Frames and Heidi Swapp Happy Die. The paper is Echo Park For the Record 2. I used various sequin for the shaker part, but I also used those little plastic pieces that you use to make the melted plastic sun catchers. I had a bunch sitting around from when my kids were little so I threw some of the yellow pieces in. I hope you like it! Click on THIS LINK to view my mini video to see it shake...

Ah Crap! Bird Crazy....

I watched the Blow Straw Painting video that was posted on the Unity stamp Co website and thought Stampers Anonymous Bird Crazy would pair awesome with this technique! So I tried it out (perfect timing since I was late to make my brother-in-law's birthday card.) I failed miserably on doing the actual technique properly, but it was fun to try. I used Gansai watercolors for the "poop" and tim hotlz distressed ink for the bird.

The "Ah crap" stamp was from Unity Stamp Co. and the "I missed your birthday" was printed off my computer.

Hello Lovely Mother's Day Cards

For Mother's Day, I made my mom and my mother-in-law the following two cards. The doily is from Stampin' Up! on the first card. I used Fern, Sea Glass and Glacier ink from CTMH for the flowers and leaves. I colored in Happy with CTMH blush ink. Both cards are sanded for that distressed look.

I used a coffee filter to make the doily. I really liked the texture of
the filter for this card. I love this floral paper from the CTMH Hello Lovely paper pack. The colors are so pretty together.

Happy Nurse's Day!

I was a day late on getting my card made for Nurse Nancy at my school, but I really wanted to thank her for being such wonderful person. So for Nurse's Day I used my Tailored Expressions "Melissa" stamp set and Ctmh "Hello Lovely" paper pack to make her card.

The card base is 8" x 5 1/2" and is scored at 2", 3",5", and 6". "Happy Nurse's Day" was printed off my computer using the Always*Forever font.

Tulle Shaker Card

I just LOVED the tulle shaker card that Jennifer McGuire posted a couple of days ago here: Tulle Shaker card. It is such a pretty twist on shaker cards. I was looking for something new to try this weekend and that fit the bill! The best part was that revisited a couple of old supplies that have been in the closet forever.

On of my dusty supplies used was that old DYMO Label Maker! I used CTMH black cardstock with the white core cut to 3/8" and put into the DYMO label maker then sanded for the white to show through.

I really love how the tulle makes the card look so soft verses the clear sheet.

I used Wendy Vecchi Buttercup Mica Spray to give the butterflies a gold shimmer to match the gold cardstock used for "Happy" and the gold sequins.

The supplies that I used in this project are:
Cardstock: Stampin' Up! Succulent Garden DSP, Mint Macaron, brushed gold CS and
CTMH black CS
Stamps: Tailored expressions Make it amazing stamp set
Dies: Altenew word die "Happy", Pretty Pink Posh scallop Ovals
Sequins: Pretty Pink Posh Marshmallow and Royal Garden
Other accessories: White tulle, Ranger Ink/Wendy Vecchi Buttercup Mica Spray, and Dymo Organizer Xpress label maker
