Easter Shaker made by my daughter!

My daughter was in a crafting mood Saturday and I was excited when she said that she wanted to make a card. She is very creative and I wish she would make cards more often. I love how her card turned out!

She used Amuse Studio Sweet Easter stamps and Taylored expressions Sun Stencil. The sentiment "Happy Easter" was also from Taylored expressions

Playing Catch up! Easter Blessings

This is the card that I made for my Mother-in-Law for Easter. I have the Tailored Expressions Die "Stained Glass Cross" but I wanted to stencil it, so I used the die to cut out acetate for a stencil. I really like how it turned out!

This is how it looked in progress...

And this is What I used to make this card....

Missing from the picture is the gold embossing powder and the shaker pieces.....I hope you like it!

We can weather any storm MFT Sketch Challenge #432

I had a chance to use this super cute stamp set, Rain or Shine, today from MFT! I LOVE sunny days so I don't know why but I always love any stamp that has rain coats, rain boots and umbrellas. I made this card so I could play along with the MFT Sketch challenge this week.

I am at my mom's helping out while she recovers. I had limited supplies to work with because I only brought a few stamp/die sets, stencils and a die cutter with me. Fortunately I had a stash here that I forgot about!!! When I had started collecting my Copic Markers, I didn't document well which led to doubles (30 to be exact) YIKES! So I kept them here in the closet with a cutter, cardstock, ink and adhesive. It was like Christmas all over again!

So here is my Card! I hope you like it.

These are the supplies that I used:

Copics: BG05, 09,10
E0000, 00, 99
YR21
Y19,38
RV10
W0
T7
B97

MFT Rain or shine stamps and dies
MFT Clouds stencil
Taylored expressions Here comes the sun stencil
Distress ink: Mustard seed, Squeezed Lemonade, Spiced Marmalade, and Tumbled glass

Today is a Twofer! Splitcoast Stampers Challenge SC477

My daughter is home sick today so instead of cleaning up the house….I decided to stamp. This morning I played along with the MFTWSC165 challenge. That was a lot of fun. Then I decided to play along with the Splitcoast Stampers challenge SC477. I really wanted to make a card for someone that just had a baby and this challenge was a good inspiration for where I should start.

{This is a side view of the flower}

The Supplies that I used are: Verve Loopy Bloom Die Set, Taylored Expressions Label Stacklets 2, Papertrey Ink Notched Star Banner Die set, and the Papertrey Ink Inside & Out Baby Stamp Set. The DSP I used is from the Echo Park Sweet Girl Collection. I hope you like my card!

How I store my Dies

I Love this stuff!!!!!

It is a great way to store metal dies for die cutting machines. Most of my dies are stored in these Quickuts Magnetic books:

I love these because the dies do not fall out and I store then in a decorative basket. I have labeled them 1-15 on the outside. I have taken pictures of each one open. Then I have put each picture in a small journal so I can just open the notebook and look for the die I need. Then I know which magnetic book to look in for that die.

Now...back to the magnetic vent covers (found at home depot for about 4$ a pack, you get three vent covers in each pack)..... I love these because since I have a few stamp set/ die combos....I dislike getting the stamps then going to get the dies that I need. So I have taken my stamps and put them in these SIZZIX plastic envelopes:

Envelope and a piece of magnetic vent cover

The real nice thing about this situation is these taylored expressions stamps and dies come with a clear plastic to line up the stamps so everything really is right there in a secured package.

This is my favorite storage for my papertrey ink die and stamps. If the stamps do not have dies that match, I use the CD cases. But if there are dies, I like the plastic envelope idea. It keeps all of the stamps and dies right at your finger tips (the black thing in the envelope is a piece of the magnetic vent covers)

I hope this helps some of you with your craft space organization!!!!!!! It will certainly help cut down on the hunt and find part!

OUCH!

OK, So...I broke my ankle. OUCH!!!
The doctor told me that I had to keep my leg up and not to do much for the first two weeks. My X-ray needed to look better after two weeks or he was going to strongly suggest surgery. Double OUCH!

Fortunately...it was my LEFT leg. So, I can still drive. With kids in a bunch of activities each day, it would have been a MAJOR tragedy if I broke my right leg. But.....since it was my left, It was more like a strike of good fortune. How, might you ask, could breaking your leg be a good thing???? Well, My darling husband set up a table in front of the couch for me to camp out at for the first two weeks. SO I took my lemons and made lemonade!!!! I mean, Took my craft supplies and made cards!

I managed to squeeze out 55 cards in the two weeks. I actually went into my stash and used a lot of stamps that I have not even inked yet! Of course a few were some that I had just bought also... :-)

This is a picture of most of my cards:

Here are some close ups:

I just found these stamps from Sister Stamps.......I love the girl holding the paper crane!

This was my husband's anniversary card. This saying is from Henry H. (I wonder what the "H" stands for)
The stamp is from There She Goes and the paper is from Close to my heart.

I really like the new PTI snowflake dies!!!!!

I made this card a while ago, but I made more of them while I was broken. This image is from whipper snapper designs. I have had this stamp in my stash for a LONG time. But I have always loved the bear and penguin stamps they have.

This was a flip card I made for my daughter's Friend

This angel is from Taylored expressions. I wanted to make a few Simple cards for the CCD teachers and the people at my church. I got the idea from someone on Splitcoast stampers, but I have to find the card so I can give them credit.

I hope that you like my cards! I had a lot of fun making them. It definitely kept me busy while I have been immobile!
