Good Morning! Today I made a communion card with some fun ColorBok self adhesive vellum and my spellbinders crosses. My friend Christine had given me some of this self adhesive vellum to try and I really like it! I used the Stampin up square lattice embossing folder and another spellbinders frame die ( i cannot remember the name of it.) I hope that you like it!

Stampin, up Sycamore Street Set for Craft Fair
Hello! Whenever I get a gift bag, I remember the tissue paper, but forget the tag and bow. That was the inspiration for today's project. I put together a Card, Tag, Bow gift set using Stampin' Up's Sycamore Street Paper Pack (wrapping paper not included.) I thought it would be good to sell sets like this at the craft fair.
In this project, I used the Sizzix die for the pin wheel, Papertrey ink inside and out birthday stamps, PTI Fresh snow ink for the dots, PTI tag die, Balloon punch, cloud punches, sizzix embossig folders, and the sizzix bow die. I hope you like my little set!

Flowersoft to the rescue!
I had made these cards about a week ago. They were simple little cards but, I never finished them because I wanted to add something to the center of the white flower that was not bling.
So this morning, while I was drinking my cup of coffee and staring aimlessly at my daffodils (see yesterday's post), I thought hmmmm maybe I could use flowersoft. Then I realized that I couldn't find any of my flowersoft other than IVORY and I was not sure where my flowersoft glue was....probably with the flowersoft I couldn't find. So I googled...as we all do when we need a little help, and I found that I could dye my IVORY flowersoft with my Copic reinkers, and glue it with Aleene's tacky glue...all my problems were solved!!!!! Well, the problems that were card related.
So I took a ziplock bag, some of the flowersoft, a couple of drops of copic ink (it is alcohol based, which makes it adhere to the flowersoft), squished it around and let it dry for a minute or two.
I could have added more ink, but I liked the way this looked. Added it to the card, and this is what I came up with...
I am very happy with the results.....
Also, as a sidenote...If you do not have any flowersoft but have white styrofoam, you can shread that and dye it the same way as I did with the flowersoft. Happy Stamping!

I love the spring!
I love the spring. The smell in the air outdoors is just awesome. Fresh, clean.....New! Love it! I love all the spring flowers too.
I just bought this bunch of daffodils last night and all morning I have had spring envy from their delicate scent.
I have been working on items for a craft fair so I will be posting many spring themed crafts that I am making. If you see something that you like, I will also be selling them on Etsy. My shop is called JustSayinCards. Nothing for sale yet, but I will let you know as soon as it is open!

I have an addition for today...I went to my friend Sandra's house today to see her new room of Heaven. It is really beautiful. She put a lot of work into it and now that her scrapbooking things are back in the room, it really looks awesome. (I am sooo jealous!)
AND....while I was drooling over her room, she showed me a card that she was working on which was very pretty. It was a criss cross card. I have never made one before, so when I got home....I tried it out. This is what I came up with...
I had a lot of fun making this card. I love that it is a flat card that you have to pull the inside out to read it. I used my AMuse Studio butterfly dies, papertrey ink stamps, burlap ribbon, and cardstock from Carta Bella.
Hope that you like it! Thank you Sandra, for the inspiration!

Husband's Valentine
This is a quick card I made for my husband today. I really like the cards with the sheet music that have been out lately and I figured using my Papertrey ink set that had "You are the beat of my heart" would be fitting for the sheet music heart. Most of my card is made with the Stampin up valentine paper. I just got it last week and I have been dying to use it! I hope you like it!

I spent this morning with my very crafty friend Christine. I haven't had a chance to sit and talk with her in a while, so I really spent most of the time talking as she created. I am not very good at multitasking when talking is involved. I find the same thing happens when I go to crops. I am lucky if I get one page or card done in an eight hour period. It's sad...I know. But I enjoyed spending the time with her, so the creative juices had to be postponed for later in the day.
I needed two birthday cards for a party my daughter is going to tomorrow. I finally got into a groove and I put a card together. I didn't like it. So I ripped a little of this and a little of that off of the card (mostly bling and the original happy birthday tag) then added the white popped up butterflies, the new tag and the flower. I was pretty happy with the outcome. Then my daughter came home from school and said, "I don't think the girls like butterflies. Can you make something with peace signs?" So looking at the cards that just took a good hour and a half to make plus time to put all of the supplies away, I looked at her and said, "Sure."
This is the card that I originally made:
Butterflies: Amuse studio, embossing folder: Lifestyle crafts, Happy Birthday stamp and dots on butterflies : papertrey ink, blue tye dye cardstock DCWV. (I know that you cannot tell it is tye dye, I can't in real life either)
Off she went to her Basketball game and out came the new supplies. I really did not have any creative juices flowing for peace signs tonight. I searched frantically for inspiration and couldn't find what I needed to get started. At the end, I wasn't crazy about the outcome....but she liked the cards when she saw them and I guess that is all that matters.
This is what I finally came up with:
Peace sign and zigzag die: MFT, tye dye cardstock DCWV, green cardstock: Stampin up, Happy birthday was computer generated, and small peace sign stamp: CTMH
I hope the girls that get the cards like them. And on a positive note, I have two more cards to use for the next two birthdays! Thank you for looking!

Valentine Card for Parents
I have not posted in ages! I have been PURGING my WHOLE house of all the unnecessary items and organizing it so I can finally sit down to create without looking around at the disasters that creep up from pile of stuff that I have been shifting from one place to another. I still have a way to go, but my main floor and the second floor are done. YEAY! AND all those piles have finally been shifted off to donations.
Today I am posting a simple Valentine card that I made for my parents and my mother-in-law. Along with Purging my home, I am "planning" to have all of my birthday and mother's day/ father's day cards made by the end of March. That would be about 40 cards. YIKES! but I am feeling positive. So I will hopefully have many posts coming up in the future.
My card is using memory box Dies, papertrey ink stamp (i love you), a heart from Stampin up, and memory box paper.
