Hello crafty friends! Kimberly here and I am sharing with you how I made this card using the Yeti or Not stamp set and the Modern Christmas Trees stencil. I am also going to share how a simple little addition of foil can make a big difference.
I just love this Yeti or Not set so much! The images are adorable. To begin, I first directly smooshed the Clear Embossing Color Hive ink pad over the Modern Christmas Tree stencilon watercolor paper. Then, I heat embossed Rustic Wilderness Embossing Glaze.
I gave the trees a second to cool off so I didn’t smudge them. Next, I ink smooshed Tumbled glass and Salvaged Patina Distress ink over the trees.
I heated it with a heat gun to make sure the ink was dry. Then, I put a little white paint on a piece of acetate and mixed it with water. I flicked the paint splatters on the background using a paint brush. I put the background to the side to dry. Then, I stamped the images from Yeti or Not stamp set using Eclipse Black ink. I colored the images in with my copics and fussy cut them out. When I stamped the trees, the star on the top was solid black and I wanted it to be yellow or gold. So, I colored over the stars with the Deco Foil Adhesive Pen and let it dry.
Once the glue dried, I rubbed some Wild Dandelion Gina K. Foil over the stars.
Then, I gently peeled it off. I loved how the gold foil makes the stars shine.
Then, I stamped the sentiment on white cardstock and began to assemble the card. I added foam tape to the back of the Yeti and the one Christmas tree. I glued one tree to the background and added the other two images with the foam tape. Next, I lined up the sentiment under the Yeti and the tree. I finished the card by adding Solar Flair Crown Jewel Gems and some white accent lines using my Gel Roll pen.
