Hi there! Kimberly here to share a card I made with this months Hedgehog Hollow subscription box. I just love the retro theme! With a few extra products from Maker Forte, this retro shaker card was created!
How fun are these colors together? I started out blending Acid Wash color hive ink through one of the "mirage layering stencils". Then I lined up and blended Purple Rain color hive ink through the other. Next, I used some texture paste with the "50s Wallpaper Stencil" over the ink blended background.
While I waited for the texture paste to dry, I stamped the sentiment from the "Roadside Attractions" stamp set and fussy cut it out. Then I prepared the Coronation Purple card base. Once the texture paste was dry, I die cut a rectangle out of the center and adhered the cut out to the card base so it would be lined up when I attach the stenciled panel. I decided last minute to add an image from the "Atomic Age" stamp set using Eclipse Black color hive ink. I glued acetate to the underside of the stenciled panel and added foam tape for the shaker. Next, I added a bunch of Acid Wash Crown Jewel Gems to the center and attached the stenciled panel. To finish the card, I glued the sentiment to the center of the acetate and added a few of the Acid Wash Crown Jewel Gems.
