Younger Than Tomorrow

I LOVE digital stamps.
There are so many reasons that I love them but the reason I will share today is because I could flip the image in my photo editing software which allowed me to make this spinner card. Most of the time, the image you are using is not symmetrical. So if you used a rubber stamp and inked two images as is, they would not match up on the back to make the spinner of this card. BUT... with digital stamps, you can flip one of the images before you print them so they will match up allowing you to make a spinner. I use the free version of Adobe Spark Post {Starter Plan} for my photo editing software. I do not know what the paid versions do, but the scene building or image flipping can be done in the free version.

The sentiment in this card makes me laugh. It couldn't be more true! "You're older today than yesterday but younger than tomorrow." I made this Spinner Card using the stamp sets from Polka Dot Orchard called Younger Than Tomorrow and Sunshine of Life. I love this unicorn cupcake! You could color it so many different ways. It was raining here today so I needed a little rainbow.

The Copics that I used to make this card are:

Chocolate for Cupcake: E13, E15, E18, E29
Rainbow, Rainbow Icing and Spots on wrapper: R14, YR15, Y08, YG17, B05, BV04
Unicorn Horn: Y28 and gold Wink of Stella {for glittery look}
Unicorn ears: RV00, C00, C0
Sun: YR15, Y08
Flowers: B05, BV04, Y08

Beauty Shines Brighter

Happy Monday! I have a card to share with you using a real pretty image from the Polka Dot Orchard set Beauty Shines Brighter that is illustrated by Christina Hope. The sentiment is from another awesome set, Sunshine of life , illustrated by Jessica Pickeral.

I used grey watercolor paint to splatter paint on the white background then colored her with Copics. I cut her out and arranged her on the scalloped square piece.  The markers I used are:

Skin: E000, E00, E11
Eye: E23, E35, E29 and white Gelly roll pen
Lips: R20, R22
Flower petals: Y23 Center: Y21, Y26, E29, E35
Head scarf: RV32, RV34
Bracelets: Y28, B10, B14
Nail: W3

I hope you like it!

Leap on Over to my Pad

Hello Everyone! I am extremely excited to announce that I am on the Design Team for Polka Dot Orchard! I absolutely LOVE the digital stamp images that she has and the sentiments to go with them are fantastic. Right now All images are 50% off! It is a great time to pick up a few sets.

Today I would like to share a card I made using the waterlily and dragonfly from the "Leap Over to my Pad" set. I watercolored the lily pad and dragonfly with Prima Watercolors on Canson XL watercolor paper. Then I layered it with a piece of black cardstock and finished it off with some dew drop embellishments and A Wink of Stella to make the wings sparkle. Isn't the sentiment sweet???!!?

I hope you like it! Stay safe, Stay home and Craft!
