Hello! I have a sweet card to share today using a couple new stamp sets from Maker Forte! I know cotton candy is one of those things (like candy corn) that you either love it or you don't, but I LOVE it! You have to admit, even if you do not love to eat it, it is SOOO fluffy and pretty! Today's card has a fun twist to add what looks a little like cotton candy on the background.

I began by ink blending Acid Wash, Purple Rain, and Rah Rah Skirt Color Hive inks on watercolor paper.
Next is the fun part. I took a junk plastic container and put Marshmallow paste in the three sections. Then I added Acid Wash, Purple Rain, and Rah Rah Skirt ink refills in each of the sections.
Once I had all of the holes of the Tessa Dots stencil filled, I carefully removed the stencil and dropped it in a bucket of water so the paste wouldn't dry on my stencil. Then, I heated it with my heat gun to see it poof up!
I love the way it looks all puffed up. Some of it will peel off and you can see more of the colored puffed marshmallow paste. (as you can see in the finished card).
Next, I stamped three Cotton candy images from the Candy Floss Dreams stamp set on a piece of Ultra White cardstock and colored them with Copic markers. I added a face to the middle cotton candy from the S'mores Sentiments Stamp set. I just adore the faces in the S'mores Sentiments set which is a collaboration between Jess Francisco and Maker Forte. Then, I embossed the sentiment using Color Hive Clear Embossing ink on a strip of Eclipse Black cardstock.
I added foam tape to the marshmallow paste panel, the sentiment and the cotton candy panel. Finally, I assembled the layers to an Ultra White card base.
Thank you so much for stopping by!
Kimberly
