Sending Butterfly Wishes {Brutus Monroe}

Happy Friday crafty friends! Today I am sharing another card made with the Brutus Monroe Butterfly Wishes inspiration box. If you know me, you know I LOVE butterflies and all that they represent.  I really love this inspiration box because the images of the stamps are butterflies and bugs so it you can use for boys and girls. Anyone else as addicted to butterfly stamps as me?

I have mentioned in previous posts, that I like to stamp out a bunch of images and die cut them before I begin making my cards. This allows me to play around with the images on the card before coloring them in to make sure I am coloring what I will actually use. I had stamped these images out when I first received the Butterfly Wishes inspiration box with Raven ink. Then, die cut them with the matching dies that came in the kit.

I started this card by ink blending Antique Linen distress oxide in an oval shape in the center of a white piece of cardstock.  Then, I blended Frayed Burlap distress oxide through the basket weave stencil. Next, I blended Scattered Straw distress ink around the rest of the panel. to finish the panel, I blended Dried Marigold distress oxide through the Flower Burst stencil getting as close to the basket weave but not going over it too much. {Both the basket weave stencil and flower burst stencil were purchased separately from the kit.} You can see the full contents of this inspiration box by viewing my video here-> Butterfly Wishes Contents.

I layered the panel on Raven Black cardstock and attached it to a white card base. Next, I colored up my butterflies using the following Copic markers: Y11, Y17, BG10, BG11, BG13, and BG23. I carefully bent the wings up and glued them onto the card panel. I embossed the sentiment on a strip of Raven Black cardstock using Alabaster embossing powder. Then, I glued part of the sentiment directly to the card and added foam tape to "Butterfly Wishes". To finish the card, I added some of the sequins that were part of the inspiration box. I hope you like my creation today and don't forget to check out the Butterfly Wishes inspiration box before they are all gone! I cannot wait to show you what I have for next Friday (hint...I will be taking you back to the 80's)!

Thank you for stopping by!
