I am so excited to be guest designing for Varada Sharma this month and sharing with you these cute tags using the new release!!!
I love using digital images for Christmas tags. When I plan to make a bunch of the same thing, I print many images at once. To do this, I used Word and added 10 of the deer from the “Oh Deer” kit to one document so they would all print on one sheet. I did the same with 8 of the wood slice image from the “Gather Here” kit. Then, I printed the deer on XPress-It cardstock and the wood slices on kraft cardstock. Next, I ran them through my Scan N Cut for a quick cut.
I colored in my deer with Copics: E31, E30, R000, R30, W8, W5, W0, W00. Then, I blended the wood slice images with Gathered Twigs Distress Oxide around the edges. I stamped “to” and “from” on the backs of the wood slice images and punched holes in the top for the twine to go through.
I die cut some greenery from dies I have in my stash and needed to print my sentiment. I knew that the “Peace to the World” sentiment from the “Pretty Poinsettia” kit would be perfect for these tags. I added the sentiment to a word document 8 times and printed it on black cardstock using my laser printer. Next, I foiled the sentiments with white foil and trimmed them down to the size I needed. I cut twine and ribbon from my stash and tied my bows with a little bell embellishment. Lastly, I assembled the tags. I arranged the leaves around the deer and added the sentiment. Then, I attached the bows with glue and tied off the twine.
These are so super cute!
